This tiny parcel of Cabernet Sauvignon is on the Nenagh Park vineyard 100m metres to the south of the Bobar Chardonnay vines, planted in the late 1980’s. It faces east, tucked hard into the base of the Christmas Hills, protected and hidden – it has a ‘Garden of Eden’ sense about it. The wines from this parcel have an ease, balance and poise, never forced, never stressed, the mature vines deliver depth and intensity without weight or effort.

Picked directly to small open fermenters in the vineyard, a small amount of the crop was crushed on the bottom of the fermenter by foot and the rest placed as whole bunches on top and left for 10 days of carbonic maceration. It was then entirely crushed by foot and macerated for a further 24 hours before pressing to 225L old French oak barriques. Allowed to mature throughout the Winter, it was racked and bottled in October 2019 with no addition of sulphur dioxide.
