Lush & Vibrant, with a dark fruit profile of blueberry, mulberry, dark cherry and a hint of black pepper. Just over medium bodied, with bright acid and supple tannin.

Farming:
Grown by Gerard & Lucy on the slopes of the Mt Camel range, near Colbinabbin in Heathcote. Gerard’s family farm a multitude of crops in the area including tomatoes and winter wheat, however they have been growing Shiraz here since 2002. Gerard & Lucy have recently planted a vineyard of their own focusing on Mediterranean varietals well suited to the climate. Together with Barney Tuohey (the Vineyard Manager) they have developed a beautiful site, with healthy soil and happy vines. These young vines are already producing extremely flavoursome and balanced fruit, a direct result of their excellent farming. 
Winemaking:
Wild-fermented mostly wholebunch with a small portion of destemmed berries to add structure and weight. Stomped by foot and hand plunged once a day before gentle basket pressing. Matured in 500L neutral Puncheon barrels for 10 months with one rack and a splash leaving behind the gross lees. Bottled, sealed, and labelled on site by the loving hands of family. Some sulphur was added at bottling.
