A rather wet winter into a rather wet spring meant difficult flowering conditions (lowering yields) but big healthy green canopies, which our dry grown vineyards were very happy about. Avenal saw some wet weather around harvest, but was also quite warm. We had to be agile to hit the right picking windows, and are really happy with how the fruit came out; precise whilst showing a few exotic fruit notes.

Lemonade fruit aromas with green apple, crushed stones, green apricot and notes of jasmine on the nose. Dry with a little opulence (3.6gm), medium - body with lemonade fruit and white grapefruit pith. Zippy but so on the palate, fine high acid, citrus driven. A finer, more tuned Strathbogie, long and seductive.
